30th Juz - A Textual Analysis
This twenty-week course offers a purely textual analysis of the 30th juz of the Quran. In this course we will explore:
The history of revelation
​The history of revelation, transmission, collection, arrangement, and standardization of the Divine scriptures, particularly the Quran.​

Various approaches towards Quranic exegesis
The various primary sources of Qur'anic Exegesis and their distinct features.

Textual Analysis tool-kit
Techniques of mapping, paragraphing, & contextual placement of text.

The textual structure, & significant themes of the various chapters
The rhetorical style of the 30th juz.
​​​
The chapter’s connection with the Prophetic Timeline
Relationship of the 30th Juz to the Prophetic mission, within its historical context.​

Course Goals: At the end of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Understand the revelation, transmission, collection, arrangement, and standardization of the Qur’an.
2. Display a deeper understanding of the primary sources of Qur'anic Exegesis and their distinct features
3. Apply the techniques of mapping, paragraphing, & contextual placement of text
4. ​Comprehend the rhetorical style of the 30th juz.
5. Discover how the 30th juz relates to the Prophetic mission, within its historical context.​
6. Build a foundational sense of Grammar, syntax, and vocabulary of the Quran.
